LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT: SLOW MOVING VEHICLE CAUSES ACCIDENT IN TOWN OF SCHLEY

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 50 traffic stops and 19 security checks. There were seven calls involving cars hitting deer, and one where a car struck a chicken.

Deputies were dispatched to the Town of Schley Thursday in the area of State Highway 17 and County Highway G for a car crash that resulted in two injuries. Deputies spoke with the drivers and determined that one vehicle had slowed down or stopped in traffic when the second vehicle attempted to pass on the right when the slower vehicle attempted to turn, resulting in a collision. One of the parties involved sustained a minor arm laceration.

Both drivers were able to drive their vehicles away from the scene.
